"Obducat’s fully automated system for mass production of LEDs, Sindre®400, has been SAT-approved (Site Acceptance Test) by the purchaser UniLite (previously Luxtaltek).

In 2008 Sindre®400 was launched, Obducat’s first fully automated system for mass production of LEDs. The first machine was sold to Taiwan-based UniLite. The system has during a number of months enjoyed use in production at the customer’s plant, and Obducat has now received the SAT-approval.

- The SAT-approval means that UniLite confirms that our Sindre®400 system meets the requirements for large-scale nanoimprint based industrial production of LED components. Being able to declare that our nanotechnology, based on nanoimprint, with this application contributes to the changeover to more sustainable energy consumption is gratifying, says Lars Tilly, CEO, Obducat.

Obducat’s lithography system renders LED components more effective. LEDs are for example used for projecting light in LCD screens, in instrument panels, and more and more for main lighting purposes.

The Sindre® platform represents a comprehensive nanolithography solution that includes machine and process technology as well as material, and thus making cost-effective production possible. The Sindre® systems are applicable in a number of application areas such as LED, OLED, Display, MEMS/NEMS, HDD, et cetera.

This is information that Obducat AB is required to make in compliance with the Swedish Securities Market Act. The information was submitted for publication on 9 February 2010 at 08.30 CET."
